HF Aims for 100% Satisfaction for Housing Finance Consumers

-Korea Housing Finance Corporation launches the "Housing Finance Consumer Advisory Panel"

The Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Seo Jong-dae) is taking action to protect financial consumers and to enhance communication with its customers.

HF announced on March 20 that it launched the Housing Finance Consumer Advisory Panel (HFCAP) as a part of its initiative to strengthen consumer protection, and that the panel held its first meeting. Items brought up in the meeting ? including ideas on how to strengthen the protection of financial consumers, ideas for new products, and the experiences and suggestions of HF customers ? will be reflected in the development of new products.

HFCAP is composed of one non-executive director (the head of HFCAP), three customers of HF products including the u-Bogeumjari Loan, and three outside experts on consumer protection ? KAIST Business School professor Hyun Yong-jin (former president of the Korean Society of Consumer Studies), Korea Consumer Agency’s Senior Manager Lee Seong-man, and the Korea Finance Consumer Federation’s Secretary General Cho Nam-hui.

HF executives and section chiefs also attended the meeting and had lively discussions with the panel members on consumer protection-related topics.

"Protecting financial consumers is not an option it is a necessity. It is the call of our times. We will seek to eliminate consumer dissatisfaction by further empowering the panel meetings and by seizing on the ideas and suggestions of our customers and outside experts," said CEO Seo Jong-dae at the meeting.
