KHFC volunteers to repair homes of low-income people living on the margins

On April 26, 2011, the management and staff of the Korea Housing Finance Corporation (KHFC, CEO Joo-jae Lim) volunteered with the Habitat for Humanity to improve the living conditions of low-income people living on government support or children living with single parent.

Thirty members of KHFC′s Bogeumjari Volunteer Group visited homes in Uijeongbu-dong, Uijeongbu-si where improvement in living environment is needed. The volunteers repaired some of the old facilities by replacing floor coverings, doors, and wall papers, and painting walls. The group also donated KRW5 million for facility repair.

Director Seong-woo Lee who participated in the volunteer activities said, ″I feel relieved that our neighbors will be living in a better environment after their homes were repaired. KHFC will continue to engage in this kind of social activities by taking the lead in working to improve the living environment of low-income people.″
