HF's housing guarantee surpasses 10 trillion won in 2010

- The jeonse housing guarantee program greatly contributes to the housing stability of the working class –

On November 23, 2010, Housing & Finance (HF, CEO Joo-jae Lim) announced that the annual amount of its housing guarantee exceeded 10 trillion won in 2010. This is the first time that the amount in housing guarantees had surpassed the 10 trillion mark since launched in 2004.

The 10 trillion won in housing guarantees includes 5.1 trillion won for jeonse (key deposit money for housing lease) guarantees. "This outcome is the result of HF's prompt response to the jeonse and inverse jeonse crises ("inverse jeonse crisis" occurs when landlords cannot find tenants despite a general fall in jeonse prices) by easing the requirements and expanding the number of qualified candidates," said an HF official.

Building upon the significant outcome achieved in 2010, HF plans to guarantee 10 trillion won or more in subsequent years. By offering new products and continued institutional improvements, HF will increase the supply to those unable to get a jeonse loan from the banking sector.

Since it was established in 2004, HF has contributed to the stabilization of housing for the working class by offering a combined total of 44 trillion won in housing guarantees to 1.6 million households.
