HF to reserve positions for applicants from non-metropolitan regions

- 40% or more of new hires in second half of year to be selected from those in the non-metropolitan areas -

On July 20, 2010, Housing & Finance (HF, CEO Joo-jae Lim) announced its plan to hire 40% or more of its new employees from the non-metropolitan regions in the second half of the year. This plan is part of the organization’s efforts to attract talents from regions other than the Greater Seoul area.

HF will split the available positions (15) into two groups: one reserved for the metropolitan area (9) and the other for the non-metropolitan areas (6). Only those who completed his/her final education in areas other than Seoul, Incheon, and the Gyeonggi region can apply for the non-metropolitan area category. There are no such restrictions in applying for the metropolitan area category.

The recruitment imposes no limits on education, age, or major, but those holding a professional license such as CPA, licensed tax accountant, or certified public labor attorney and HF interns with good records will be given preferential treatment. Also, in accordance with the relevant law that provides for equal employment opportunity for all social classes, those eligible for priority employment such as the handicapped will be given added points.

HF will place the newly recruited on a four-month internship program during which time they will be evaluated for basic competence and ability to adapt to the organization. Following a separate screening process, 10 will be selected and converted to permanent positions. If the personnel limit is increased, a greater number of new hires will be offered a permanent position.

Applications are received through HF’s website (www.hf.go.kr) from July 21, 2010 to August 3, 2010. The recruitment process includes short listing, written test, and interview.
