HF Awards Scholarships to Local Youth
- HF supports middle and high school students from vulnerable backgrounds in the Busan area
Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Kim Kyung-Hwan) announced on the 24th that it has provided the ‘HF Local Talent Scholarship’ to ChildFund Korea (Busan Regional Director Kim Hee-Seok) to nurture local talent in Busan <see the image below>.
HF is donating a total of KRW 77 million, awarding KRW 1 million each to 77 exceptional middle and high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds in Busan. These students were nominated by Busan Metropolitan Office of Education and selected by ChildFund Korea.
An HF official stated, “We hope the HF Local Talent Scholarship will help support the academic success of local youth. We are committed to encouraging these students to grow into leaders who will shape the future of our society, and we will continue our efforts to nurture future talent through our community-focused initiatives.”
Since relocating its headquarters to Busan in 2014, HF has been providing scholarships annually to support local talent. Through the end of this year, a total of 514 students have received scholarships through the program.
