HF awards the winners of the 3rd Housing Finance Academic Paper Contest

- Five winners to receive preferential treatment if they apply for positions at HF


Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Kim Jae-Chun) announced on the 5th that HF held the award ceremony for the winners of the 3rd Housing Finance Academic Paper Contest for University and Graduate School Students at the Busan International Finance Center in Munhyeon-geumyungro, Busan.

 

The contest ran from May 27 to October 5 under the theme of developing the housing market and housing finance market. A variety of entries underwent three external and internal reviews, and five papers were finally selected.

 

The Grand Prize went to Seok Sang-Ik (KAIST,) who wrote a paper titled "Studies on Early Repayment Models for Mortgage Loans" that analyzed changes in the probability of early repayment of mortgage loans and main factors for the changes. The Excellence Award winners were the Housing Analyst team from Kyunghee University (Ha Mee-Hyang, Kwon Min-Seong, and Yoo In-Cheol), who presented "Profitability Analysis for JooTaekYeonKeum Preferentially Offered to the Low-Income Bracket," and the Klass Pertama team from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (Kim Young-Hyeon, Shim In-Bo, and Lee Jun-Su), who wrote a paper titled "Proposals for Korean-type Rental-Backed Securities". Participation Award winners were the Namjin Policy team from the University of Seoul (Lee Yu-Jin and Park Ji-Hyeon), who wrote a paper titled "Analysis of Effect of Mitigating Poverty of Elderly Households through JooTaekYeonKeum," and Bae Joo-Shik from Aju University, who wrote a paper titled "Proposals of Housing Finance Instrument to Induce Prospective Housing Customers to the Housing Market."

 

HF awarded KRW 5 million to the grand prize winner, KRW 2 million to each of the second prize winners, and KRW 500,000 to each of the third prize winners. All winners are exempt from document screening one time if they apply for jobs at HF.
