HF Launches Customized Jeonse Loan Guarantee for Social Enterprise Workers

- HF signs MOU with KEB Hana Bank and Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) stated on the 23rd that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency (KoSEA, President Kim In-Seon) and KEB Hana Bank (CEO Ham Young-Joo) for social and inclusive housing finance.

Given that social enterprise workers and other social welfare workers with relatively low incomes have difficulties in securing stable housing despite their contribution to the creation of social added value, the MOU aims to support them with a customized jeonse loan guarantee program.

Under the MOU, HF will work to develop a loan guarantee program to lower the housing cost for these workers, while KEB Hana Bank will launch a related loan product and carry out joint marketing for the product. KoSEA will evaluate whether applicants for the guarantee meet the eligibility requirements, promote the guarantee program to social enterprises, and provide finance education to their employees.

HF CEO Lee Jung-Hwan said, “It is meaningful that we have reached this MOU for those working for social enterprises and other social welfare organizations because they contribute to the development of our community. HF will continue to make more efforts to realize social and inclusive housing finance.”
