The Number of Newly-Wed Couples and Multi-Child Families Applying for Bogeumjari Loan Exceeds 2,600

- Their applications account for 61% of the total Bogeumjari Loan applications

HF has received over 2,600 applications for the 'Bogeumjari Loan for Newly-Wed Couples and Multi-Child Families' since its launch on April 25, 2018.

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) said on May 17, 2018, that the daily average number of applications for the loan was 127, reaching a cumulative monthly total of 2,675 as of the 15th. This number accounts for 61% of the 4,373 Bogeumjari Loan applications (or around 65% in the total amount of loan applications).

The Bogeumjari Loan for Newly-Wed Couples and Multi-Child Families was launched in line with the government's recent efforts to meet the needs of mid- to low-income families seeking housing stability. Unlike the existing Bogeumjari Loans, the upper annual income threshold eligible for the new loan product has been raised to KRW 85 million for newly-wed double-income couples and up to KRW 100 million for multi-child families depending on the number of children. For multi-child families, HF has also increased the maximum loan amount to KRW 400 million.

An HF official said, “We will continue to flexibly respond to various housing finance needs, actively supporting mid- to low-income families to secure safe and stable housing.”
