HF Holds Future Innovation Strategies Workshop

- The workshop explores ideas on new drivers of future growth

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) held the Future Innovation Strategies Workshop in Busan from February 1 to 2, 2018.

During the two-day workshop, the participating HF employees had a heated discussion on the theme of exploring new growth drivers tailored to HF for the future. The workshop also featured a special lecture given by Professor Lee Won-Bu of Dongguk University entitled "The Future Direction of Housing Finance in the Smart Digital Era.” After the lecture, the participants put a wide array of innovative ideas on the table to address issues of social concern. They ranged from ▲ preferential guarantee rates for earthquake- and fire-proof houses, ▲ blockchain applications to facilitate the review and post-review monitoring of state-sponsored mortgage loans, and ▲ financial assistance for houses built with 3D printing and other new construction technologies.

HF CEO Lee Jung-Hwan requested the participants to make efforts to help develop any of these suggestions into viable policies, if they seem helpful for promoting housing welfare for the public, through thorough review and consultation with the relevant authorities.
